I had another commission from the folk who commissioned me for my last piece (St. Rosa De Lima). I also have a painting class this semester. So, i figured I could get two things done with one piece The assignement was a study of space (as in empty area around an image, not outer space ). Once piece the image is to be minimized, another maximized. This is the minimized one. I was going for a dreamy, dopey look, cause that is what kind of dog George is This piece is basically done, just needs a few more touches to fill in around the edges. I was considering drawing a little dream cloud above his head with a bone or heart or something...but I think I like it just like this. What do you think?

Anyways, this was done on a gesso-ed piece of Rives BFK paper, using purely oil paints. It is hard to see with the crap pic taken with my crap camera, but I was able to get an AWESOME airbrush look on the couch, and I just love it! One of the few pieces I feel is both complete, and I am extremely proud of how it turned out I used a variety of cheap-o brushes and I figured out some of my own ragging techniques along the way.
